p1440 Launches Futures Tour Pro Beach Volleyball Tournament to Power the Next Generation of Professional Athletes
THOUSAND OAKS, CA, UNITED STATES, April 1, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- p1440 today announced the launch of the Futures Tour Pro, a premier beach volleyball two-stop series designed to bridge the gap between emerging talent and the professional ranks. Built to support the pro pathway, the Futures Tour Pro provides athletes with a high-level competitive platform to test themselves, gain exposure, and accelerate their journey to the international stage. Positioned as a mid-major, high-stakes series, the Futures Tour Pro delivers a focused competitive environment that mirrors professional standards while fostering athlete development and upward mobility.
“Big opportunity. Real competition. Pro standards,” said p1440 CEO, E. Ashley Dean-Gulbranson. “This is where we want the next generation of pros to come to compete for high value prizes and opportunities to further their careers in the sport.”
The Futures Tour Pro is intentionally crafted for athletes ready to take the next step—those seeking meaningful competition, visibility, and momentum in pursuit of a professional career. By combining elite-level play with a development-first approach, the tour creates a critical proving ground for the sport’s rising stars.
Competition Format & Prize Purse
This series will offer a competitive competition format and handsome prize purse of $40,000 across the two events. It kicks off in Pompano Beach, where Men’s and Women’s Pro divisions will compete for the first of two $20,000 weekend prize purses. The second stop takes place in Santa Monica, one of the sport’s most iconic beach volleyball destinations.
The Futures Tour Pro introduces a power pool format designed to maximize play and development:
Day 1: Pool play with four matches guaranteed
Day 2: Minimum of two matches per team
Playoffs: Single elimination ]
Match Format: All matches played best of three sets
This structure ensures athletes gain more court time, more reps, and more meaningful competition—eliminating the “one and done” tournament experience.
Series Prize & Athlete Support
To further invest in athlete progression, overall series winners will receive a travel stipend, helping offset costs to compete in additional high-level events and continue advancing along the pro pathway.
Prize purse payouts will be distributed down to 9th place in each division and will be paid out on-site at the end of the weekend.
Futures Tour Pro Dates
June 6–7 — Pompano Beach
June 20–21 — Santa Monica
Registration is currently live via volleyballlife.com and will be open until the tournament is filled.
