TCG Process Introduces OCTO aiSTUDIO for Document AI Selection

OCTO aiSTUDIO by TCG Process

The OCTO process orchestration platform now lets organizations compare AI models on their own documents by accuracy, cost and speed before production.

Customers asked for a self-service way to choose and benchmark AI models, compare costs and test performance on their own data, without being tied to one technology. OCTO aiSTUDIO is our answer.”

TCG Process today announced OCTO aiSTUDIO, a new capability within its OCTO process orchestration platform that allows organizations to configure, test and optimize AI-powered document understanding in a single environment, including document splitting, classification, extraction and validation. OCTO is the process orchestration platform from TCG Process, combining AI, automation, validation and human interaction within a governed workflow.

The new capability is designed for a challenge that emerges when document AI moves from evaluation into daily operations. An individual model can perform well in a controlled demonstration, but production environments introduce variation in document formats, layouts, image quality and data completeness. Selecting a model on the basis of a demonstration or a published benchmark provides limited evidence about how that model will perform on a specific set of business documents.

Moving document AI from demonstration to production
Organizations deploying document AI at scale often need to manage more than model accuracy alone. Performance can differ between document types and individual fields, confidence scores do not remove the need for validation, and repeated use of higher-cost models can affect total processing cost.

OCTO aiSTUDIO turns model selection into a measurable process. Organizations define the business requirement first, run their own documents through different models, compare the results against ground truth, and review accuracy, cost and latency side by side before committing to a production configuration.

Additional capabilities include:
• Multi-model assurance — applying more than one model to the same task when additional assurance is needed.
• Human validation and feedback — routing items for review and using corrections in ongoing measurement.
• Configuration without model training — defining document types and required fields without needing labeled training data, templates or extraction scripts.

Connecting AI decisions to the wider process
OCTO provides the orchestration around aiSTUDIO, connecting AI-driven document processing directly to the wider business process. Extracted data can move into validation, routing, exception handling and downstream systems under the same governance and audit trail as the process itself.

Organizations can learn more through an upcoming webinar or evaluate it using their own documents in the OCTO Sandbox.
